Making the Ancient World Accessible to All
Over two thousand eight hundred years ago, a blind bard ranged from city to city, singing of the great war between the Greeks and Trojans. With this, western literature began, and since then the tales of hope, grief, rage, and perseverance have lost none of their potency.
Ancient World Education strives to make the ancient world accessible to everyone from the most advanced learners to the youngest prospective students of Greek, Latin, classical myth, history, or culture.
Offering both personalized instruction and online classes, we have the materials and expertise to ensure the success of every student and help them meet their goals however ambitious or modest. The ancient world and classical literature are gifts to all humanity: we strive to ensure all have access to it.

Meet Dennis Alley
My name is Dennis Alley. I founded Ancient World Education hoping to bring the highest quality education to you from the comfort of your own home.
I received my PhD in classical languages from Cornell University. A first-generation student, I founded the Upstate Center for the Humanities hoping to continue Ezra Cornell’s founding creed: any person may acquire an education in any study.
Our videos and content are intended to help any student strengthen or expand their knowledge of core studies in the humanities.
Seeing the limitations of video-based content, I founded Ancient World Education to offer one on one instruction along with classes in key areas of classical education. Our instruction brings over a decade of experience from in class, college-level instruction and thousands of hours of one-on-one virtual teaching to every session.
